UNIT 1. Border politics. Borders
What is a border? We seem to find the term everywhere, be it in music, in films and literary works, or on the news. This omnipresence contributes to the difficulty of defining the concept. This video assesses this complexity as it explores other issues, such as what kinds of borders we can identify, and where, and what is their inner functioning. The border, furthermore, is inherently asymmetrical, and will mean different things and have a variety of effects depending on what side one is situated.
