Module II - New Technologies and New Rights - Lesson 2. Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the great scientific advancements, requiring an adequate legal framework that guarantees both the advancement of the scientific-technological research for efficient and safe use, and the greatest respect for fundamental rights in its utilization. It is necessary to properly define the concept of AI in order to study existing regulations and the fundamental rights that will eventually be affected by AI technology. In fact, the importance of the automation of systems can affect all areas of public and private life, including all kind of services. For example, the relevance of AI in the legal area has been raised, including at law firms and departments of investigation, the police, administrative and in justice departments, with the possible affectation of rights that can result from this automation.
