2.2.c.- The case of Ottoman monuments in Bosnia and Herzegovina

This video will present the case of Bosnia and Herzgovina, as a particular case in the Balkans. Since it preserved a majority of Muslim population, it was less affected by the de-Ottomanization process in the Balkans. However, during the disintegration of Yugoslavia in the nineties of the 20th century, the Islamic heritage was especially targeted for its religious and identitarian importance for the Bosnian population.

Este video presentará el caso de Bosnia y Herzegovina, como un caso particular en los Balcanes. Al preservar una mayoría de población musulmana, fue un área menos afectada por el proceso de des-otomanización en los Balcanes. Sin embargo, durante la desintegración de Yugoslavia en los años 90, el patrimonio islámico fue especialmente atacado por su carácter religioso y su importancia identitaria para la población bosnia.
