ICT accessibility, Understanding
Ensuring that people, regardless of their cognitive abilities, receive information about an ICT product or service is one of the requirements of accessibility in general, and of cognitive accessibility in particular. To achieve this, it is recommended that systems use simple and understandable language (without unnecessary technical jargon), provide contextual help, generate information consistently, avoid unnecessary distractions to facilitate attention and comprehension, and generate information in both text and alternative communication systems such as images and pictograms; and that the operation of the system is compatible with assistive products.
