SERIES: Assistive Products and Information and Communication Technologies Carlos Javier Cortina, a student at UNED, uses his computer with the help of a screen magnifier that also provides text-to-speech synthesis for visual content. He studies Psychology subjects on his MP3 or DAISY player while waiting for the bus. He uses a voice-guided mini-GPS to navigate while walking through the city. He reads the letters sent by his bank using a video magnifier or an OCR scanner.
