Development Counts: Data Skills for International Development Careers
Final Conference
The “Data Revolution” has changed how we analyse and understand the surrounding world and also our everyday activities. A growing number of individuals, in both the public and private sector, manage, analyse, visualize and communicate around data as part of their work. As this trend will accelerate in the future, it is important to ensure that everyone is able to acquire basic data skills during their training, including groups who may be less confident or perceive them as less relevant.
This conference is the final dissemination event of the ‘Development Counts’ project and will bring together global development professionals and educators involved in teaching data skills to explore the debates around data skills and the development agenda. This event is free and open to all. We particularly encourage those involved in teaching data skills to non-specialist undergraduate students and current students interested in global development and/or data skills, as well as the broader data for development community, to come along and find out more.
