Elements of Poetry II
Elements of Poetry II follows the theme and structure of Elements of Poetry I (visual elements) being an introductory video to the aural elements of poetry. There will be an introduction to the difference between prose and poetry in relation to its visual and aural elements and a focus on the basic poetic techniques of sound patterning used in metrical and non-metrical verse. The aim is to help students identify aural elements in poetry so that they are able to refer to them when writing a basic textual analysis of a poem.
